« Whisper of Roses » perfectly aligns with the theme of networks, routes, and connection by weaving a rich narrative that spans cultures, geographies, and epochs. The story of the princess from the Eden of Japan who travels the world with her cherished rose bushes symbolizes the dissemination of culture, knowledge, and beauty across different lands. This journey represents a historical network of cultural exchange and the creation of connections between diverse civilizations.

The project’s performance in the gardens of Ansembourg Castle further underscores this theme. The castle, with its heraldic rose motifs and rich history, becomes a symbolic nexus where the past and present converge. The rose garden at Ansembourg, a symbol of peace, beauty, and heritage, parallels the princess’s mission to cultivate an Edenic civilization through her roses.

By presenting « Whisper of Roses » during the European Heritage Days 2024, the project also highlights the importance of cultural heritage and the networks that preserve and celebrate it. The multidisciplinary performance involving dancers, an acrobat, and musicians exemplifies the collaboration and connections within the artistic community, mirroring the project’s broader theme of interconnection.
